The vast majority of what I do is done by me. In the event that your needs extend beyond my scope, I have at my disposal a coterie of proven, talented colleagues with whom I have partnered on countless projects over the past couple of decades. In a nutshell, if I can’t do it, I can facilitate it.

One dude. One shop. One stop.

The Goods

From There To Here

From There To Here

After two years of skipping classes at UT Austin, then earning a graphic arts degree at UNT, my next career move was obvious: more school. So it was off to UT Southwestern, where I earned a Masters degree in medical illustration. Time to get a job. I started out at the American Heart Association, followed by a partnership at Goetz & Hood Creative. In 2000, I decided it was time to hang out my own shingle.

Given my background, the healthcare market has always been a staple of my business. But over the years, I have evolved to serve a diverse, more consumer- oriented client base. Publication design is also a big spoke in the wheel, as I have served as Art Director for the award-winning Stroke Connection magazine since 2001 and recently took over as Art Director for Heart Insight magazine. The diversity of my clientele has afforded me the opportunity to explore every aspect of my skill set, from developing brands to delivering messages to communicating ideas.

The goal here is to interpret your vision and satisfy your needs as seamlessly as possible, minus the headaches, B.S. or excuses.

I’m beyond blessed to have earned the loyalty of so many wonderful clients over the years. Most of my clients become my friends. I think this has to do with trust ... and that endangered species known as accountability. I work hard and I do what I say I’m going to do. The goal here is to interpret your vision and satisfy your needs as seamlessly and professionally as possible, minus the headaches, B.S. or excuses.

BLINKING WITH HURTNESS

Let's Grab a Beer.

Literally, figuratively ... whatever suits you.

Literally, figuratively...
whatever suits you.

Whenever I meet someone, I ask myself the hypothetical question, “Is this the kind of person I’d want to have a beer with?” And conversely, “Would this person want to have a beer with me?” I’ve always tried to live up to my silly little litmus test, with both clients and friends. So if you’ve got a creative project that might fall into the Goetz Creative wheelhouse, let’s find out if a cold Lone Star (either of the literal or figurative variety) may be on the horizon.

Welcome to my own little Island of Misfit Toys, where I stash rejected ideas, random designs and ghosts of projects past. You’ll also find unclassifiable nuggets such as “blinking with hurtness,” which was how my kid described the pain in her toe after jamming it against the coffee table during a recent epic wrestling match. In other words, this is mostly where I put the stuff that I don’t make any money on. And stuff my kid comes up with.
